The Idea to the project MyCPU!
That was the reason why Dennis Kuschel started his project. The MyCPU is a selfbuild computer which works without any microcontroller, PAL or GAL. The CPU is completely realized with logic gates. The used logic gates are integrated circuits from the TTL family which are available to the market during the last decades. Perhaps they will also be available in the future. For the MyCPU we never have to use special parts.
You might think that the MyCPU is an old project from the stone age (TTL-grave) which only let blink some LEDs. Not at all because the MyCPU is a TTL-based computer which does not have to hide behind today's modern computer systems. Far from it, it finds connection to modern Windows-XP machines and it shares functions and resources from both systems. We will give you more information later.
Dennis Kuschel, a young educated electronic specialist has made in the solo run for the task to develop such a self build system to himself. From my point of view he is a genius who is looking for another one. He completely developed independently the hardware and software for the MyCPU in his leisure time. After almost five years development time a full-function calculating machine is born. And now each one with a little bit of electronic knowledge can build this system and can refine and programme his own parts.
Who ever build that system goes thru from the beginning step by step and learns every single step and how a computer works. The MyCPU was built modular so you can create single devices and expand hard- and software part by part. All functions were described detailed and easy to understand so that beginners also can build it.
The developer of the system, Dennis Kuschel, has joined with the company Thomas Heller Technology which delivers professional boards and part sets for the MyCPU. Cloning of the MyCPU will be much easier because you don’t have to create the boards by yourself.
