Development
In preparation are a VGA board and an ethernet card, these both have to be understood as an option and are not needed for the system introduced here. This is only an extract from the complete range of the MyCPU. A detailed description would blow up the frame here and is component of the detailed construction manual.
Who ever knows something about the computer hardware surely will recognize at once that the MyCPU is not a children's toy with blinking lamps. To whom it seems too technical might discover his curiosity what this means in particular. The present and complete system of the MyCPU consists of 13 equipped euro cards. Since the system is built up modularly, it can be built up also gradually. E.g. a minimal system could be realized with seven euro cards.
With the circuit boards manufactured professionally a very high after-making safety is ensured. Dennis Kuschel's construction manual is also written so in detail that an after-making under guarantee leads to the success. We have built up the system and are impressed by the MyCPU. That only one person like Dennis Kuschel has created such a self build project is a wonder.
It is my opinion that the MyCPU should find more distribution because the project is unique at today's time. There surely are thousands which also will find enthusiasm at this self construction project.
If you think on the expansion of the hardware and the programmes which could be written by other people. And don't forget the learning effect.
I haven't found another logic-experimenting box which makes a lot of fun and is clear to understand how a computer system works.
If you want to write your own programs you will find enough possibilities to do it and you can say: "I built my own computer system - the MyCPU"!
For this reason we have decided to deliver a professional support and to obtain the circuit boards and components. We walk with that for the first step to give all other ones the possibility of building the MyCPU and spreading the self construction project.
